GOA

Goa known as India’s Las Vegas & is famous for its beaches, sea food, casinos, water sports, cruise & many more things... Our trip in September 2006 was a memorable one because it was our first holiday with Mom & Dad.

We took the flight to Goa and had a chauffer pick us from the airport to the resort that we had our booking in (Sonnesta Inn on the Calangute beach).It was a pleasant stay with courteous staff, good rooms, very close to the beach.

We lazed on the beach enjoying the sunset and the view of the endless waves. Sea food was all that we had in the 4 day tour.

For leisure, we went on a 2hrs cruise where we did some dancing and won a prize as wellJ. We also visited few famous and old churches as well.

 After 4 days of relaxing, when it was time to head back to Hyderabad, we did a bit of shopping, showpieces made of shells, dry fruits and liquor were few things we got our hands on. We took the train back to Hyderabad because we were told the view was fascinating and after our journey we felt fascinating was an understatement!!! The train that we traveled on passes through the Konkan valley from Londa. On the way near the Castle Rock station we could see a waterfall aptly called “Dudh sagar water falls” it was truly outstanding. Throughout the journey, several small water falls can be seen amidst the lush green valley.

There has always been an assumption that going to Goa is a costly affair, while it is the most comfortable, convenient and affordable place to go to in India. It is well connected to all major cities and has a huge variety of accommodation to offer. Some good beaches in Goa include Anjuna,Agonda , Baga,Bambolim ,Benaulim ,Bogmalo, Calangute,Candolim,Cavelossim,Chapora,Colva,Dona Paula. The easiest way to travel in Goa is to hire a cab and you could visit all the beaches & famous churches.

This 1st holiday with our parents made us decide that an annual break for them is a welcome delight and we have tried since then to maintain it. For all the years of happiness and sacrifice that our parents do for us, it is our responsibility to keep them happy. This was our 1st step.
